Produced this polar image at Niseko Green Farm earlier this week. The panorama was a challenge to shoot, had to balance the pano set up on the grow tables as low as possible to avoid the lights. The exposure was bracketed 5 stops to deal with the the shadow and highlights – pleased that you can actually look at the bulbs.

Last week I passed through Shibu Onsen in Nagano and took this panorama of Shibu Yakushian Shrine.
Shibu onsen is a nice little onsen ( hot spring ) town close to Shiga Kogen ski resort – would be a great place to stay if you are ever heading there as it is only 20 mins away by bus – a good option if you are looking for some Japanese culture as opposed to the resort style accommodation mainly found at Shiga Kogen.
Thanks to Shinji at Ixsm Travel for organizing the trip

Last night I made it down for Herbies Umbrella Bar for their rail jam comp.

The Herbies crew crafted a great set up with a nice drop in to a 20 ft rail with a transition out complete with disco lighting and a cranking PA set up.

There were lots of competitors and people were really throwing down.

Shot this pano early on around 5 during the first qualifying heat – kind of tricky shooting this as the snow was on and off – you can see there is snow in one half of the pano and not the other. Didn’t have a chance to shoot it again cause the show didn’t let up.
